Remarkable Liquids Donates Nearly One Ton of Clothing to Local Shelters
Remarkable Liquids makes first drop off of nearly 2,000 lbs. of clothing donated through their Be Remarkable Clothing Drive
GUILDERLAND CENTER, N.Y. (Feb. 27, 2019) — Remarkable Liquids, New York State’s premier craft beverage distributor, has received nearly 2,000 lbs. of clothing through their Be Remarkable Clothing Drive, which were donated to Interfaith Partnership for the Homeless and City Mission of Schenectady.
This first drop off marks the halfway point of the clothing drive with another planned following the end of the drive on March 15.
“The Albany Parking Authority is always looking for ways to give back to the community and Remarkable Liquids has done an incredible job rallying the Capital Region to take on this important issue. We’re proud to be a partner of such an impactful project” said Matt Peter, executive director of the Albany Parking Authority.
“We started this clothing drive to give back to the community that has given us so much already, Remarkable Liquids would not be where it is today without the support of the Capital Region,” said Spencer Noakes, general manager of Remarkable Liquids. “What started as a small project has grown into something beyond our expectations with patrons of local businesses donating nearly one ton of clothing in the first few weeks, it’s heartwarming to see such overwhelming support for this project.”
“The outpouring of donations has been remarkable. IPH is restocking our clothing pantry through the generosity of the community lead by our new friends at Remarkable Liquids,” said Erin Coufal, marketing communications director at Interfaith Partnership for the Homeless. “Our programs provide shelter, housing, meals, clothing, and support. Volunteers and donors are so important to our programs. We are truly thankful for the resources provided through the partnership with Remarkable Liquids.”
The Be Remarkable Clothing Drive encourages patrons to frequent participating beverage producers, restaurants, and Albany parking garages. Patrons will be able to donate clothes ranging from — sweatshirts, sweat pants, coats, and men’s clothing. Each location will have a Be Remarkable box where patrons can drop off their donations which will then be allocated to Interfaith Partnership for the Homeless and City Mission of Schenectady.
Donation boxes can be found at: Centre Street Pub, Backstage Pub, Glenville Beverage, O’Slattery’s Irish Restaurant and Pub, Albany Ale and Oyster, Oliver’s Beverage, Westmere Beverage, Lost & Found Bar & Kitchen, The Olde English Pub and Pantry, The Ruck, Eddy’s Beverage, Rare Form, Nine Pin Cider, Pig & Whistle, Troy Beverage Center, East Branch Organics, Quackenbush Parking Garage, Hudson-Green Parking Garage, and Riverfront Parking Garage.
Remarkable, now in its sixth year of business, is ranked as the 1,398th fastest growing company in the United States according to Inc. magazine in 2018.
