City of Rensselaer’s 2019 Christmas in the City to be held on Saturday, Dec. 14
Christmas in the city returns for another year at Rensselaer City Hall
RENSSELAER, N.Y. (Dec. 6, 2019) — The annual Christmas in the City event will be held on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2019 from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. This event is free of charge and is open only to City of Rensselaer residents.
Under the tent outdoor activities will begin at 3 p.m. and indoor activities at City Hall will begin with the arrival of Santa Claus at 3:30 p.m. Santa will visit with all children until 5 p.m. There will be crafts, photo booths, balloon twisting, cookie decorating, refreshments, and fun for all.
At 5:30 p.m. City Hall will sponsor two Yankee Trails Busses over to the “Holiday Lights in the Park” in Washington Park. Seating is limited, wristbands are required and it is first come, first served.
Wristband sign up begins at 3 p.m. and all party members must be present to obtain a wristband. No wristbands will be given to one person to hold for members of their party, ensuring that individuals will actually board the bus at 5:30 p.m. There will be no exceptions. Riders must be 16 years old to ride without adult supervision and children ages 2 and under may ride in the lad of an adult.
